World Vegetarian Week - May 19-25

Why not give the vegetarian diet a try for a week?
You don't have to do it for eighteen years like I've done...unless you want to.
And if you did, you'd have a serious impact...check out the top ten reasons why.

Um, a lot of that list is silly.

Pigs are smarter than dogs. But chickens? Factory farmed chickens are not smart.

Also, there's plenty of unhealthy vegetarian food. My diet veers towards being poor without having meat in it. There's no vitamins in british veggies. I'd get more iron if i ate a steak. and a lot more b12. Fine, I have to take vitamins or whatever. But I don't think it's helpful to make false claims.

Also, I despise that pita . . . er peta claims skinniness as a benefit of being veggie. It's not true, but it does demonize fat people.

Augh, I fucking hate peta. I really believe that they're funded by the meat industry. Every time I encounter them, it makes me want to go get a burger.

Hm, speaking of food I should probably go forrage to raise my blood sugar.

Gimme something better to link to then -- the World Vegetarian Week web site itself is just as big a waste of time.
